Ingot casting

With a batch size of 30 to 70 t of crude steel, a range of ingot formats of 270 to 2,300 mm in diameter can be cast in round, polygonal, cylindrical or conical form at lengths of between 800 and 4,400 mm. The individual ingot weights can range from 0.8 to 60 t; a variety of ingot formats can be cast in each melt. Partial lowering of the casting pit enables ingots of up to 4.40 m in length to be cast specially for forging. We can provide more than 50 standard formats as well as a considerable number of special shapes, all of which are extendable in accordance with customer requirements.
